Benefits of TrickTape

TrickTape came about because my buddy Matt and I had a problem – since we were skating daily, after a month we’d have holes in our shoes!

Now one option is to just buy a new pair, but when good shoes are $50 per pair (at least), a lot of money goes into replacing shoes throughout the year – over $500!

Plus, most of the shoe is still perfectly good, it’s just a small part of the uppers that need repair.

We were big fans of duct tape because it’s so easy to apply, but the downside is it only lasts for a session or two (also not very stylish).

We needed a way to repair our skate shoes that had everything – easy to apply, durable, and looked good.

That’s the beauty of TrickTape – like duct tape, it’s super easy to use, and it’s way more durable because it’s made of suede (fully recycled material too).

I combine it with Shoe Goo up around the toe so I have extra durability when I’m practicing kickflips – TrickTape and Shoe Goo is the super power in shoe repair!

TrickTape gives my shoes more life, which means I save $100s over a year by not having to constantly buy new shoes.

Plus I grow to really love my shoes when I get to wear them for months at a time. There’s a comfort and familiarity that helps me skate better as I understand how my shoes and board interact, developing really good board feel.
